Situation Sunday (my 1st one)

Situation # 1
You are doing some of your annual spring cleanning. Time to flip the mattress. As it fall onto it's new side....a swarm of flying insects...by the thousands come out and immediatly start attacking you. You are the only one home in the house at the time....what do you do?

Run into the shower and turn it on and stay there til either the insects leave or someone hears my screams !

Situation # 2
After a lenthy realationship that ended on the sour note. You have dated a bunch of losers and some winners but they just were not what you were looking for. You have found what you believe is Mr/Mrs. right. Your job finds you in many different office's, at various locations in between 2 counties, none of which you live in by the way. You deal with the community as you are working....You now have found the Right person in your life! All is just going great, and you are contemplating moving in or marriage when....You are working and you see your honey coming in the door. You are surprised that they are there. They act like they don't know you and after a very lengthy conversation you find out they were adopted when they were a baby. When you show them a picture of the one you are in love with it is like they are looking in a mirror. You tell your love this and they are also suprized, and thrilled they have a sibling. As time goes by you realize you could love them both....either way your a winner- What do you do?

WOW! This one is heartbreaking. To find out your true love is actually your sibling would require lifelong weekly visits to the therapist! I have no idea what I would do.

Situation # 3
This is the road of life. You have reached the half way point or a little beyond. You are OK. Your mate says's he loves you, and your life is comfortable it just has no Zing. When you think of what you have in common it really is zilch at this point. You have been there 30 years, so you know. On the other side of this road is the unknown...but it might be the missing link you need in your life. You know that person on the other side likes so many things you do.....from TV shows to music. Do you risk all you have to find out...or do you remain with no Zing. With no Zing you have no worries that they will always be there, on the other side you have the unknown......What do you do?

OK, this IS my life. After being married to my first husband for 25 years, I left. We had married at 17 and our life was very complacent. We had grown apart in every way, had absolutely nothing in common, and our children had left the nest. So no Zing found new young Zing, and off to CA I went. The other side (the unknown) was terrifying, yet exciting at the same time. In time I found out I should have left no Zing many years ago, and my life would have been much happier. I married unknown on the other side and life with him is wonderful!

The Saturday Special

http://satspecial.blogspot.com/
~My Personal Preferences~

1. Quiet evening at home or Out on the town?:
Out on the Town. Since I am a stay at home worker, I need to go out every now and then.

A tough question- really depends on the movie and the mood I'm in. I love a good chick flick, but I also love to read.

3. Ordering a meal or cooking one yourself?:
Ordering! Who wants to cook when they can order out?

4. Going for a walk or taking a ride in the car?:
How about taking a ride in the car to the park or the river and then taking a walk when I get there. I want both!

Thursday Memes

TELL ME THURSDAY A brand new Meme starting today. Go check it out!

This tree was my photo for Wordless Wednesday. Hubby decided he wanted to go to the river last week to Red Top Mountain and let Buck run and play. It was very cloudy but was almost 70 degrees, unlike the 33 it is today. We are having very weird weather for January. The water however was just glistening and a reminder of a great Spring and Summer that is coming.

I know I am getting old, because I was bored very quickly, but it was worth it to watch Buck playing. Since we moved here from Arizona, he never gets to go out and just run. This apartment life is not for dogs. He ran til he was tired, then just busied himself being nosy of every rock and tree he could find.

All in all it was a good afternoon though. I re-discovered something...... the love I have for my husband. I had not wanted to go at all, and seemed to fuss all the way about every little thing. I was old and cranky, but something in the back of my head told me... just go. I've learned to listen to that intuition after many years of ignoring it. After we had been there a couple of hours, Buck and I were sitting on a picnic table near the water and I glanced up. Here is what I saw ..... my man coming around the bend walking straight towards me. The look on his face brought me back to the days we were dating and had just fallen in love. I got that schoolgirl feeling of butterflies in my stomach and my heart fluttered in the way it used to. The Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways. It took a simple cloudy day at the river to remind me of something I tend to forget...... how much I love my husband. He is the other half of my soul.

Thursday Threesome ::Apple Pie Crust::

Onesome: Apple-- turnovers? Bear claws? Do you have a favorite pastry? You know, the one you can't pass up no matter what!
I hate Bear Claws...the things they must do to cut off those poor bears feet (hehe), seriously can't stand them. As for pastry, having lived in Southern CA with my brother and his spanish wife, I got totally hooked with going to the local panaderia (Spanish Bakery). They had pineapple turnovers to die for. YUMMY!!!!!!

Twosome: Pie-- or cake? You're out to dinner and you get your choice: What do you go for? ...or do you simply have to have the creme brulee?
I usually don't get dessert when we go out, but sometimes I can't pass up the blondies at Applebees. I have the recipe on today's ost at Sunflowers in the Kitchen.

Threesome: Crust--makes the pie, ya' think? Which pie absolutely has to have the proper crust or it just doesn't work for you?
Cobblers... the crust cannot be too doughy or I won't eat it.

3X Thursday

1. What have you been listening to lately (be specific if you can)?
I have a varied taste in music, but mostly I listen to oldies on the radio. It's so weird I can't remember what I had for dinner a week ago, yet I can remember the words to every song from the late 60s and the 70s.

2. Where do you listen to music the most? Why? How (device-wise) do you use to listen to your music? Are you happy with it? Why/why not?
I listen to the radio almost 24/7. It is always in the background.

3. Are there any shows you're going to, or want to go to? What are they?
Kid Rock is coming on March 11th. I would love to see him.
