Heads or Tails #24

The FIRST time I got married I was 17 years old, yes I was a baby, and was four months pregnant. It lasted 25 years. The first five were good, then we drifted apart, but stayed together til the boys were grown. We got married in my Grandmother's living room. We were a church going family, but under the circumstances, they did not think it was right for me to get married in church. I always thought was the one place I wanted to be and that was denied me.Funny how things turn out.

The Last time I got married I was 48 years old and thought it would never happen. I had sworn off men forever. Hah! Robert is the best thing that ever happened to me, other than having my children. He treats me like a queen and everyone notices and tells me how lucky I am. I may not always act like it, but I am very lucky and I do know that. We got married in Las Vegas in the Candlelight wedding chapel. Then our church threw us a big reception/shower the next Sunday when we got back to Los Angeles.

I love everything you shared with us today. I think I would have to agree that 17 IS 'just a baby'....but, hey, sometimes it works out.

Good job.
Mine is posted too. Drop by if you can.

I was married the first time at 17. It also lasted 25 years! I got married the second time at age 50.

It's so nice to hear a love story. And nice to hear a woman speak so well of her husband. I hope that I am again that lucky (I am a widow): I've been alone too long. Happy Valentines Day to both of you.
