Robert's voice
I think the voice I love hearing the most is my husband's. Robert has a nornmal voice, not soft, not harsh, not low or high, just normal. But it sounds wonderful.
When he says "I love you", when he whispers to me, when we lie in bed and talk before falling asleep every night, when he plays with the grandbabies, across the dinner table, even yelling at ballgames on tv, I just love hearing his voice. I cannot imagine not hearing it.
Whose voice do love hearing the most?

Finally... I'm approved.
I have tried twice before to get approved for PayPerPost and got denied each time. The first time, I did not have enough posts (must have 60 or more). The second time my blog wasn't old enough (must be 6 months old). So I guess the third time is a charm. I searched through my email this morning and there it was, very unexpected...my approval letter. I am actually very excited about it.
My blog will stay personal with my usual memes, photos, and other stuff. I will occasionally now be able to add a payperpost posting as well. As those of you that read my blog on a regular basis know, I am in desperate times with money now. I can no longer work and am waiting on my disability to be approved, so any little extra helps. I made $32.00 at my son's yard sale this morning, which bought me groceries.
I've been seeing PayPerPost badges on a lot of my friends blogs that I check regularly, and have been interested for quite some time. Check out the PayPerPost website if you are interested in earning some extra cash with blog marketing. I do know several blogging buddies that have been paid by them every single month, so they are legitimate. They even have something called PayPerPost University that teaches you everything you need to know and answers all your questions.
Since my blog was finally approved, now I can make a little extra money and still go on blogging about the things I love. I am very happy about this.

Nablopomo / Voices day 2
Voice of the Past
The voice sounded so sweet and loving
Every word I wanted to hear.
You are my angel, you were put on this earth just for me.
The voice gets on one knee.
The voice is always angry
Everything is always my fault
The voice is controlling my world
It takes away my soul.
The voice scares me
bruises, broken bones, heartache
The voice has taken my spirit
the only thing I had left.
The voice finally goes away
leaving my world broken and shattered.
Finally, a ray of hope
that I will never the the voice again.

Freezer Food Friday!
Sweet Potato Pie
2 c. sugar
3 big sweet potatoes
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice (optional)
2 deep dish frozen pie shells
Cook sweet potatoes until soft, then drain and mix in all other ingredients; mix well. Pour into pie shells and cook about 30 minutes until done (firm in middle).I use 1 lg can of sweet potatos instead of cooking the real ones. It's much quicker with the same taste.
I make up a double batch and freeze it. Next time, just thaw, pour into pie shells, and bake as usual. My grandma made these when I was a little girl.

I hear my Mom's voice
I hear my Mom's voice in almost everything I do. Isn't it funny how when we are young, we never want to listen to our mom's voice, and now that I'm older and she is gone, I would give anything to hear her voice just one more time. My mom wasn't a very loving person as far as being touchy feely huggie like me. But when she opened her mouth, she had the softest sweetest voice. I used to love to call her, because I loved how she said hello on the phone. Then she would sound so excited that I had called.
So if you have a mom, call her up and listen to how she sounds. One day you may not hear that anymore. If you no longer have a mom, close your eyes and take a moment to remember your mom's voice. Now smile!

Heads or Tails / Share a special memory
"Share a special memory" is the theme at Heads or Tails this week.
As a young girl in the 60s, I was addicted to music. I had a radio by my bed much like this one and I listened to all the pop songs of the decade all the time. But every single morning as long as I can remember, I woke up to country music blasting from the kitchen. It may be the reason I still can't stand country music today. My grandparents loved it. Anything to do with country or the Opry was great to them. I knew it was time to get up when I heard the Sick Call program come on. I thought this was the most morbid show in the history of radio. It came on then WJMW, now WKAC radio with Mary Romine and her husband. After their deaths, their daughter Jill took over and it is still on today from what I hear. (I no longer live in that state). "Sick Call" is a daily program which lists recent deaths and people in the hospital. It has been on since 1953. Right after Sick Call came Swap and shop, where locals called in selling stuff or wanting to buy stuff or to tell where their yard sales were located. Even though I hated hearing those shows, they bring back wonderful memories. The smell of bacon cooking, as my grandma cooked a full breakfast seven days a week; my grandparents voices discussing their upcoming day, and best of all, my grandma coming in to see if I was awake yet. I miss them very much. Isn't it funny how the things we hate can bring out the best memories in us?

10 on Tuesday / Superstitions
10 Superstitions, Traditions, and/or Personality Quirks
1. If a black cat crosses the road in front of me, I still "X" it out.
2. Growing up, I was not allowed fish in the house (even goldfish), because a house with live fish in it is a house with no money.
3. Also, we were not allowed to play games with dice, because that was causing the family finances to be gambled away. Bullcrap. huh?
4. I still won't walk across a grave at the cemetary.
5. I do not walk under ladders.
6. Little noises make me crazy. Like a clock ticking, water dripping, stuff like that.
7. I don't like for my food to touch each other on my plate. Weird I know, but I've always been that way.
8. I am an obsessive list maker. I have a list for almost everything.
9. I do not like paper napkins. I would rather use a cloth napkin anytime.
10. If I see a picture hanging crooked, I have to straighten it. No matter where I am.
Geez, I didn't realize how weird I was until I did this, lol. I even asked hubby to help me come up with some and he thought of about 10 more. Oh well, that's who I am I guess, a weirdo!
