What a neat idea!

A metal saw
A light bulb
2 screwdrivers (small and large)
A round file
Metal wire (beading or fishing wire should work)

Photobucket

1. Saw the base of the screw cap with a metal saw, turning the bulb regularly, so you remove the electrical contact part.
2. Once the base of the screw cap is cut, insert a screwdriver and break the glass tube that sticks out (be careful).
3. Then, place a larger screwdriver in the cavity of glass, pushing down firmly, so the filament is separated from the bulb.
4. With a round file, enlarge the opening and take out the filament. The bulb should be empty now.
5. To create suspended vases, drill two holes by hand on both sides of the screw cap with a drill bit. The aluminum should pierce easily.
6. Slip metal wire (or fishing wire) through the holes that you punched and tie a knot on each side (like a purse strap).
7. Then suspend the vase from a hook, or wherever you like.
8. Put a little water in the bulb and then some flowers.

Father's day T-shirts I love

This is awesome!
FatherhoodT-Shirt, M - XL

"Builder of Dreams" T-shirt, XXL
Lawn Enforcement OfficerT-Shirt, M-XL
Tattoo Tee - Military Green

It's a new day folks -

If you notice in my previous pics, I NEVER show myself from the waist down. Although I'm still fat, I'm down 70 pounds, and I'm not hiding anymore. When I walked through those doors this morning, I started the rest of my life. This is day 1. Things are going good, even though I feel like crap most days, my MEL score (how they determine the transplant) is 14. They won't even put me on the list until I am a 15 or more, and have lost 40 more pounds. So now I am focusing only on losing weight.
The process is going to be very long and very expensive. From now until transplant time, which will probably be 6 months to a year away, we have to travel back and forth to Atlanta at least twice a month, and this first month, it will be every week. Dang gas guzzler we drive sucks! Then they informed me after the transplant my meds will cost approx $2000 a month and insurance will cover all but about $500 a month of that cost. Where am I supposed to get $500 a month for meds for the rest of my life? Off the money tree in the backyard? Lots of challenges ahead, but I'm hanging in there. Thanks for hanging with me.

Lily is going to have a Lilyfit! I got her this Personalized Dora DVD . Now that may not seem like a big deal to you, but she is so hooked on Dora. Heads or Tails / Piece

This week I chose Tails - Piece.

Lily could not wait to get a Piece of David's birthday cake Sunday night.

It's hard being me!

Telemarketers - UGH!

How many times a day do you get calls with numbers you do not recognize? I get very few now, but my DIL still gets LOTS every day, usually trying to sell her something. I am on the "No Call List", are you? Did you know you can now put your cell phone number on it as well?
I found a great site that tells you how to remove your number, gives you all the area codes for each state, and what I really like it has a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup . I've seen many with regular reverse lookup, but not for cell phones. If nothing else, you should follow the easy directions and enter your cell phone number with the National Registry there, only takes about two minutes. It works, did for me!

10 Movies You’re Excited to See

There are some really good movies coming out in the next few months. I can ahrly wait to see a few of them. I absolutely love everything Adam Sandler is in so 'Don't Mess With the Zohan' looks aweaome. And of course leave it up to Will Smith to carry off being a drunk superhero in Hancock! M. Night Shyamalan is such a creative man. The Village is one of my all time favorite movies. So I cannot wait to see The Happening, and it doesn't hurt at all that Mark Wahlburg stars in it.

Great theme this week!

A way to take my trip

While browsing online, I came across something that is a way to help me take one of my trips on my Bucket list. They offer Vacation Loans and you don't even need good credit to get it. You can borrow up to a thousand dollars. All you need is a job, a phone number, a bank account for them to deposit the money into, and make at least a thousand dollars a month gross. We qualify but hubby says no, so that is that, I guess. But if you need vacation money ( you can actually spend it on anything), this is a good place to start. Instant approval also.

Wow What a Weekend!

My son David and his fiance Jenny came from out of state. We had a very busy and fun weekend. Saturday we went to the Duck Derby on the river. It is put on by the Children's Advocasy Program and they release 30,000 yellow rubber ducks into the water. Each duck has a number and if one of the the top 50 winning ducks has your # on it, you win. They even gave away a car. Ducks were $5 each.Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Then yesterday we met them for lunch at Cracker Barrel, then went to Dellinger Park.
This coming Wednesday is David's 33rd birthday (just saying it makes me feel OLD), so Dennis and his family came over for dinner. Jenny and I cooked lasagna and starberry pizza. We bought a small cake. It was almost more than I could bare. First time both my kids and their family had been in my house all at the same time in 12 years. I couldn't help but wonder if it would be the last time. Oh, I so pray I get this transplant. Anyway, David and Jenny left this morning, but Robert cooked breakfast for them before they left. GREAT WEEKEND!!!!
