Home again, The Journey begins!

Well, I found out during my six day hospital stay thay that I have terminal cirrosis of the liver, which is not fair, since I don't drink. I was so full of fluid that they had to drain it and I lost 28 pounds in six days. NOT a fun way to lose weight. Right now I'm on an emotional roller coaster. One minute I'm ok, the next I'm crying. I am however trying to be very optimistic.
When I go back to the doctor on May 6th, they will send me to the the Emory Transplant Center in Atalnta where I will be put on the organ transplant list. If you are not a donor, I URGE you to do so now. It could save someone's life. You can become a donor free at http://www.organdonor.gov/ .

The journey begins..........

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I pray for a donor match for you. Looks like they treated you like a pin-cushion as well. Yikes.

Big hug honey and you are in my thoughts and prayers. :)

I am so sorry. My mom has PBC which is a bit different but still requires a transplant. Praying.

I said a prayer for you today. My heart hurts for you. Being sick is an awful thing to bear. I am so happy that you have such a sweet husband to help you.

Remember, doctors can't tell you your future, only God can do that. Take whatever they say with a grain of salt. They have to always share the worst.

Stay around encouraging people who make you laugh. It will help you heal much faster.

Blessings, Joanne

p.s. I am an organ donor AND a stem cell donor.

I'm so sorry to hear this and will be praying for you. I, too, am an organ donor. I know what it's like to receive a diagnosis that is life-changing, and I admire your attitude. You are truly blessed.
