I think it's about having something in the mouth...but who knows...maybe the sugar does something to offset the desire for nicotine. I guess if you tried sugar free candy we'd have the answer ;-) Thanks for stopping by Spatter...
what a discipline. my father is so addicted that he wasnt able to fight it anymore. he started smoking when he was 14. and when he had to stop, it was too late.

It must keep his mouth, if not his hands busy. Good luck to him! Thanks for visiting and happy hunting.
I am the same way as your hubby. I quit last year and still love to have my mints. I don't know how they help either though, but they do! Happy PH :)

I think sucking on candy transfers the habit of having something in his mouth.
My grandmother used to have butterscotch discs at her house all the time.

Colorful candy cancels craving for cigarettes....congratulations!
It sounds to me like a very good excuse :) My husband never smoked so he spends a lot of time hiding the evidence!
Geez, wish my DH would quit smoking
Your candy looks like a bowl of sunshine!
Hi, yummy candies and congrats to your hubby...

I think it's about having something in your mother. I stopped smoking in 2001 and I'm the same way. Nice shot.
Nice photograph! Yummi :-)
Very colourful candies, and a cool shot.

Well if it works! Hard candy always makes my mouth sore!
Nice shot, thanks for visiting, happy hunting.
Love the colours this week!! :)
hmm... I'm still looking for something to get me away from cigarettes, but sweets won't be it - even if the damage from smoking is greater... :(
I agree with hubby
Great pic of the butterscotch & cinnamon candy! I've heard that works too when someone quits smoking :)
Good luck to your husband - keep on eating those candies instead of smoking the cigarettes.
Happy Weekend.
We all have our crutches when we give up. I hope your husband is successful. His body and his wallet will thank him for it!
Nice shot. May I have some? :)
I also wonder how candy -esp menthol- seem to work as substitute to cigarettes.:-) But whatever works, right? Happy hunting
Well done to hubby for quitting..
I'd have hard candy all over the house too if it helps! Happy hunting.
I think gum can be a big life saver as well. Great shot. I love butterscotch. :)
Happy Hunting!

Stuff him with more and more candies. That should keep him off cigarettes.
