Wow What a Weekend!

My son David and his fiance Jenny came from out of state. We had a very busy and fun weekend. Saturday we went to the Duck Derby on the river. It is put on by the Children's Advocasy Program and they release 30,000 yellow rubber ducks into the water. Each duck has a number and if one of the the top 50 winning ducks has your # on it, you win. They even gave away a car. Ducks were $5 each.Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Then yesterday we met them for lunch at Cracker Barrel, then went to Dellinger Park.
This coming Wednesday is David's 33rd birthday (just saying it makes me feel OLD), so Dennis and his family came over for dinner. Jenny and I cooked lasagna and starberry pizza. We bought a small cake. It was almost more than I could bare. First time both my kids and their family had been in my house all at the same time in 12 years. I couldn't help but wonder if it would be the last time. Oh, I so pray I get this transplant. Anyway, David and Jenny left this morning, but Robert cooked breakfast for them before they left. GREAT WEEKEND!!!!

Our area does the ducks for Red Cross, I think. What a nice batch of family pictures! Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful post. We had a great week-end as well.

Our son-in-law just got home from Iraq. And they were up this past week-end for a post Mother's day celebration.

I am a friend of Sandee's as well. Although I don't drop by there as much as I would like too.

You have a lovely family....thanks for sharing with us!!:-)
